Michele Jalbert, Co-director

After a career in corporate marketing, public relations & human resources, Michele worked on Capitol Hill as Washington Director for Congressman Bill Delahunt (MA) from 2003-2007. She became Chief of Staff and General Counsel of the nation’s oldest regional trade association, The New England Council, managing the 300-member organization and guiding its business policy agenda from 2007-2013. In 2013, she helped launch the Renewable Chemicals & Materials Alliance (re:chem), a group of biobased companies focused on national advocacy. Michael Parr, Co-director

After a 30-year career with DuPont, Michael Parr established The Parr Policy Group in 2015 to provide policy and political consulting services to businesses, with an emphasis on sustainability. For almost 20 years Michael led DuPont’s federal government affairs efforts on environment, energy, technology, manufacturing and sustainability related topics, engaging with Congress, the White House, Administrative agencies and private sector stakeholders. He has successfully created advocacy coalitions to achieve major legislative changes related to chemicals regulation (TSCA), renewable energy and natural gas, tax policy for sustainable manufacturing, R&D and STEM education. Contact Michael.

Joel Tickner, GC3SCA Advisor

Dr. Joel Tickner founded the Green Chemistry and Commerce Council (GC3), a network of more than 125 companies, including major retailers and brands, dedicated to accelerating the adoption of more sustainable chemistry throughout supply chains. Joel is an internationally respected expert on environmental health, green chemistry, chemicals policy, pollution prevention and risk assessment. His research focuses on the development of innovative scientific methods and policies to implement and accelerate the design and application of safer products and manufacturing processes. He is a professor of environmental health at University of Massachusetts – Lowell, where he teaches regulatory science and policy, cleaner production and risk assessment. Contact Joel.
